Tax Tip:
The turnover and balance sheet limits that define small businesses have been doubled for periods ending after 30 January 2004. So your business could claim increased capital allowances for equipment purchased in the last year if it now qualifies as small.

Rebecca Cave FCA CTA MBA BSc

I write under my maiden name of Rebecca Cave through my own personal company Taxwriter Ltd

I spend much of my time updating established tax books and loose-leaf law or tax works as a contributor for all the main tax publishers. However, I have written one whole book from scratch: Practical Commercial Tax, for Sweet and Maxwell.

I am also the sole or joint author for Capital Gains Tax, and Roll-over, Hold-over and Deferral reliefs both published by Tottel (now Bloomsbury Publishing).

Since April 2000, when I became a freelance writer, I have written thousands of articles for various newsletters and journals, including regular articles for Taxation, and the CIOT journal: Tax Adviser.

In 2009 I was short-listed in the Lexis Nexis Taxation Awards for Tax Writer of the year.

I also produce bespoke client newsletters for professional firms, as well as marketing materials and website content. If you would like a bright, interesting bespoke newsletter for your practice, or need a rapid and efficient update for a technical work please email or call me on 01908 295645.

I have removed the live email link from this site to reduce the amount of robot generated spam I receive.
